"Yes and no," He told her, looking down at his shirt to striaghten it a bit. "I mean, yes I did... influence you. But I can't make you do anything you would never actually do. You'd have to have some desire to do it in the first place." He looked up at her smiling. "So it was only like, half me. You agreed way to fast for me to have done much at all. I mean, I'm good and all... just not that good, yet."

Lynda's happy smile dropped, and she let the words sink in. Was he suggesting that she wanted to hang out with him? Because she certainly did not. "You must be better than you thought, because I would never have any desire to spend time with you," Lynda scuffed, crossing her arms angrily.

"Denial," He sighed, standing up and stepping toward her. "It's not a good look on you." He shook his head, tsking his tongue. "And at first I thought maybe it was just me. But you see... it couldn't have been." He moved closer to her, folding his own arms over his chest smuggly. "I know my own limits. I hardly did a thing. I think we both know that."

"I've also been told that I don't look good when I'm frowning," Lynda said, remembering what he said at the rally. "Do I just not look good at all?" she joked, trying to get away from the subject of denial. Obviously, she didn't want to admit he was right.

"You've also been called cute," he rolled his eyes at her. "And no, you do look good when you smile. But I guess you don't smile that much... or is that just around me?" He cocked his head, a mockingly hurt look on his face. "You really should smile more. Frown lines are a bitch when you get older."

Lynda bit her lip to surpress a giggle about the cute thing. It was not funny at all. She's supposed to hate the word cute. "It's just you." And a lot of other people. "Maybe if you just let me be, I wouldn't have to worry about frown lines."

"But where's the fun in that?" He asked, leaning down to get a better look at her. "Besides... Even if you do frown a lot, you're still interesting. And kinda fun to mess with." He had a goofy grin on his face, a not uncommon look. "And I can suggest a moisturizer that can take care of those frown lines, if you want."

"No thanks, I already know plenty of guys that can - and have - suggested types of moisturizer, and I don't need another one," Lynda whined. Her friends were mainly jocks (sister not included) and there were a good number of gays that play supports. Like the three cheer queers. And two guys on track. And one that was on the soccer team. The list continues.

"Fine, fine," he allowed, moving to stand against a nearby tree. "You wouldn't happen to have their numbers on you, would you? I'm always looking to try out some new products." A thoughtful look crossed his face, but was soon gone. He couldn't even fake being serious.

"I do, but I'm not giving them to you," Lynda said matter-of-factly. She didn't want him to become friends with her friends. Then they'd see each other more than she wanted. She shuffled through her bag, pulling out a plastic, blue box. She carried it around with her, so if she needed something, she could shift the box into it. She stared at it for a second, then it became a comfy, blue chair under the shade of the tree.

"If I may be so blunt as to ask," Sasha narrowed his eyes at Lynda, "Why exactly don't you like me? Or, think you don't like me?" He raised an eyebrow at her, as if in reminder that he about the day before.

"You irritate me," Lynda said simply with a shrug. "I don't like strangers in general, and I consider you a stranger. Also, you made a pretty bad first impression."

"What impression was that?" He asked, his brows pulling together. "Some shirtless guy with an awesome boa? I wouldn't exactly call that bad..." He folded his arms, actually frowning at her. Best way to make Sasha stop smiling? Tell him that he wasn't as charming as he thought he was. People rarely didn't like him. It just didn't usually happen.

"Well, you called me cute, which I hate because it makes me feel like I'm five. Then you called me sweetie, which reminds me of my mom. Oh, and don't forget how you hypnotized me into hanging out with you, then ditched me." Lynda rolled her eyes at him frowning. What a baby - he'll get over it eventually.

"Ok, so what if I called you hot instead," he said slowly, "And babe. And remind you that I didn't really hypnotize you all that much and DID find you again. And then you ditched me." He pushed off the tree and moved so he was staring down at her. "So I'm sorry if you have some stick in your butt and don't like people being nice to you."
