"When I'm angry I am not pleasant, that's all there is to it," she said as they headed to lazer tag. She didn't like to be mean, but some people just earned it. Tango looked around at the teams as she put on her gear, hoping that the blue and yellow teams would be content to fight each with each other because, as Taidan said, their only concern was the red team, and she was pretty sure the red team's only concern was them. Tango was not the best at lazer tag, never having very much skill at strategy, but the run, shoot, and duck method had always worked for her. She took Tai's hand so she could say, "Hell yeah," before dropping it again. She would need both hands to opperate the lazer gun, which meant there would be no talking for her during the game. That wasn't exactly a bad thing, though. A key part of lazer tag was the stealth.

The laser tag people were all put into an arena type room and went to their separate bases. The punk girl volunteered to guard the base from the floor above, because there was a convenient ram to the upper floor and hiding spot nearby for her to use. Punk dude said he would be good at attacking them and Taidan agreed that he would also be good at attacking. He turned to Tango and smiled. "Your good at being quiet, I know. Think you can handle attacking the base from behind if we distract the reds?" Before she would get to answer, the lights went off and there was an announcement over the intercom. "Let the games begin!"
What really annoyed Tai was the yellow and blue people. They would always try to hit him when they saw him, but he'd dodge them and ignore them as if they were below him to even shoot at. But when Blue Dude #1 infiltrated the yellow base, the two groups went to war. Tai was glad he didn't have to worry about them. The reds were slowly creeping toward where the green base was, and was about to split into two different groups. They were leaving their base unguarded. They went to split into two groups and Punk Dude motioned that he'd take the two on the left. That left him with the two on the right. "Eat green lasers, druggies," he said to them, shooting than running in the opposite direction. It was all too easy to lure them away.

Tango nodded that she understood the plan and then snuck around to the outer edges of the arena, keeping her out of sight of pretty much everybody. No one shot at her. No one even saw her, but she saw them. She watched as the reds moved on the green base, dividing up like that would give them a better chance. It would have if they'd left one of those groups to guard the base, but of course they didn't think of that. The mute girl moved quickly past where the boys were fighting, chuckling as she heard what Taidan said. She skirted around them without a single one of the reds noticing her and made her way to their base. It was deserted. The blue and yellow teams were too busy waging war on each other and all the reds were trying to get through to the green base. Tango aimed her lazer gun at the little target that was used to blow up the base and held down the trigger. After about a full minute of shooting it finally made an exploding sound. Less than a minute after that the siren sounded, signalling that the game was over, and the lights went on.

Even though the game was over, Tai kept hitting the trigger at the two boys, wishing it wasn't over. He didn't want to stop shooting at them. "Dude, that was the most epic laser tag game ever!" commented the Punk Dude, walking up beside him and they shared a high-five. The two druggies glared at the green team members before exiting the arena to find their friends. Tai was beaming. He knew that Tango had destroyed their base, since their guns stopped working before it had ended. Punk Girl walked up and shared a very graphic looking kiss with her boyfriend, and Tai slipped away from the two and out the arena to find Tango. He glanced up at the scoreboard, realizing that they had come in second, only a few points shy from beating the blue team.

Tango left the arena and put her gear back on the rack, heading over to the scoreboard to see how they did and find Tai. She found him looking at the scores same as she was trying to do and grabbed his hand so she could talk. "We did pretty good," she commented, a little sad that they hadn't won, even if the only objective had been to kick the red team's ass. "Do you wanna go try gokarts now? Or did you have something else in mind?" she asked then, wondering if the gang would leave them alone now or if they would keep trying to beat them at something.

Tai smiled at her, his thumb playing with her hand. "Go-karts sounds great right now." He leaned in like he was going to kiss her, and whispered, "Race yah." OK, so it was an evil trick, he knew that. He took off running, but slowed down a little. There'd be no fun in it if he actually won the race.

Tango ran after him as if they were little kids racing and she was determined to win. When she saw him start to slow down she merely increased speed, getting a running start so that she could launch herself into the air. She jumped onto Tai, landing in piggy back position. "Hiya," she said.

"Hello there," Tai said, grabbing her legs and giving her a piggy back. He causally walked, ignoring the stares the others were giving them. "So, having fun so far?"

"Most definately," she said, grinning, "And you can put me down now if you want. I was just trying to surprise attack you." Tango was glad that he couldn't see the blush that rose to her cheeks as she noticed the people staring. Attention wasn't something she liked, at least not from total strangers.

"But I don't want to," Tai replied, continued his walking until he got to the Go-Kart line. They were the 11th and 12th in line, so they'd get to go when the people's turn were over. Tai gently let go of Tango, setting her on the ground as if she was a breakable present. He turned around and randomly said, "What's your favorite color?" After a second, he added, "It's one of The Questions."

"I'd have to say red," Tango replied, her blush receding slightly now that he'd put her down. A few people were still glancing in their direction every now and then, wondering what the crazies would do next, but she did her best to ignore them. "Now I have one of The Questions for you," she began, "Would you have fought those guys if they'd kept messing with us?"

"Oh most definitely," Taidan replied immediately. It wasn't that he was violent; he was just tempered. The line moved and he ran to a dark blue car, wanting to snatch it before any of the little kids could. He pointed to the red one beside it. He's been to Freddie's fun Place many times before, and this game was like his sport. He and his friends have rode in every single car more than once. Tai knew the ones that worked the best, and the ones that worked like crap. And it just so happens that the one that he likes best and the best working red one ended up next to each other.

Tango took the red car indicated, unable and unwilling to argue. She drummed her fingers against the steering wheel as the Freddie's employees went around and revved up all the gokarts. She watched impatiently for the 'go' signal. When it finally came her foot was like lead on the gas. Number one rule of gokarts: keep going. Never let off the gas. Not even when you run into the wall. Luckily Tango did not run into the wall and even managed to pull out ahead of Tai.

Tai didn't get the head start that he wanted to mostly because he had been starting at a certain someone. The olive green shirt she wore really brought out her hazel eyes, which he couldn't stop starting at. When her car started to move, he immediately hit the gas. He was mad at himself for not paying attention and mad at her because she was so distracting.
OK, so he wasn't that mad. He was planning on letting her win, anyway, but now - as he trailed behind her with his foot on the gas going as fast as he could go - he knew there would be no "letting." He gently reared the back of her car just to annoy her.

Tango glanced over her shoulder at Tai's car, which was tailgating hers. With a smirk she slammed her foot down on the brake, causing her car to stop abruptly and slam into Tai's. Laughing, she stepped on the gas again, taking off while he was still stunned by the bump. She was going to win this. She could feel it.
