Bailey continued to run his fingers through her soft hair. He could feel his heart beat quicken, and his breathing was getting kind of awkward. He pressed his lips harder on hers and sighed, trying to calm down. Suddenly, a beep went off, and he glanced down at his watch, cursing under his breath. But, he continued to kiss Jaynee, just for the sake of things. Slower than normal, his body began to disappear, but he still kept his lips on hers, until finally, he was gone.

Jaynee leaned against the wall, her eyes opening slowly as she felt the pressure disappear from her lips. When she realized that he was fully gone, she swore profusely. She then sighed and started walking down the hall, wondering when she would see him again. She was so wrapped in her thoughts of Bailey that she didn't realize Jessica and her possy were standing just around the corner talking until she was close enough and it was too late to turn around and try to avoid them.
"Well, well, well, look who it is," Jessica said. Jaynee rolled her eyes at the cliche greeting. "Enjoying your black eye?" she asked with a sneer.
"Enjoying your detention?" the hippie girl retorted. Jessica narrowed her eyes, unable to come up with a better response. Jaynee looked at her for a moment before beginning to move past the group.
"Hey, we're not done here," the head bitch snapped.
"I am," was the other girl's only response.
"Would you like some more bruises, bitch?" Jessica asked.
"No, thank you," Jaynee said, "See? It is possible to be polite." Jessica and her crew looked like they were about ready to charge, so she had to think quick. Jaynee took the few steps that took her over to the wall, which was painted beige in this part of the school. Putting a hand to it, she activated her insignia and shaped the wall so that a door-like hole appeared in it, which she promptly stepped through before closing the gap behind her.
Sighing with relief, the blonde girl turned to find herself in an empty classroom. Not wanting to run into Jessica again, she slipped out the door and quickly made her way through the halls to her dorm room before anyone could figure out where she'd gone. That night she fells asleep thinking about Bailey and his lips on hers.

Bailey opened his eyes, and sighed. He was really starting to get tired of all the random "poofs" he had been doing lately. He looked around. It was quite dark where he was, and soft too. He turned, and as he did, heard the sound of shifting bed sheets.
Instantly, Bailey knew where he was. He was in someone's bed. But whose, was what he was wondering. Slowly, he turned his head to face the person whom seemed to be fast asleep beside him. He sighed with relief as he realised who it was. Jaynee.

Jaynee stretched out her arm in her sleep, and collided with something she didn't expect to. She opened her eyes to see what the foreign object was but was still mostly asleep when she discovered Bailey, back in her bed. The blonde girl hardly reacted in her groggy state. She simply closed her eyes and scooted a bit closer, resting her head on his chest as she tried to drift back to sleep. However, it seemed she did the opposite. Rather than going back to sleep, she seemed to grow slowly and gradually more away of her surroundings, especially the warm body next to hers. When she finally got around to pretty much full consciousness her eyes shot open wide in realization of where she was, how close he was, but she couldn't bring herself to move. She didn't want to blow her chance to be close to him.

Bailey shivered as Jaynee rested her head on his chest. He sighed nervously and looked around. Maybe it would just be all in the best if he stayed here for the night. But, on second thought... Bailey shook his head. No. He must not lure himself away from such good things his "super power" was causing.
Inhaling deeply, Bailey scooted down a little so that he could rest his head on Jaynee's head. He slightly rolled to his side, and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him. As awkward as he had just made things, he was sure it did not matter. She was asleep anyways, right?

Jaynee didn't move a muscle. She was sure he must have thought she was asleep, and she didn't want to ruin that, but she felt a shiver run through her as his arms went around her. It felt so...nice to be near him. She scooted closer to him, snuggling against his chest as her eyes drifted closed once more. She didn't really care if he knew she was awake or not; she wouldn't give this up either way.

Procrastinating was never a good thing. Lynda knew the paper was due weeks in advance, but it was always the last thing on her mind until the night prior to when it was do. Lynda may not be the best at Language Arts, but she was still in the Honors level, and the essay needed to be at least four pages. She spent four hours on it last night, trying to make sense out of Shakespeare and scrap together four pages off a theme that was barely even existent in the stupid play. What made it worse was that Lynda's pride had made her refuse help from her literature genius of a sister, Jaynee.
So why was any of this important, you lovely readers ask? Well, I'm getting there.
So even in the four hours Lynda took to get the paper done, it made only three pages. She still needed to revise, do a check list to make sure she had everything, and add more to make it longer. So she decided to wake up at 5 am so that she could finish it by the time school started. Lynda hated waking up early, but needed the good grade. Also, she needed Jaynee to grammar check it, so she was forcing her twin to get up too.
Lynda slammed her hand down on the alarm clock as it rang. Stupid annoying thing of retardness, waking Lynda up. She slowly reached out for the lap and turned it on. "Jaynee -" she started, but didn't finish her sentence. "Oh, not again!"

Jaynee couldn't help but cringe at the sound of her sister's alarm clock. She'd forgotten that Lynda was planning to get up early to work on that stupid paper. Or rather, she'd simply not sent a thought in her sister's direction since waking up to find Bailey in her bed once again. Why the hell would she? At any rate, she was wishing she had thought about it now and half wishing Bailey would pull one of his disappearing acts--the other half didn't want to give him up. The blonde girl rolled over and, reluctantly, pulled out of Bailey's warm arms to sit up and face her sister, making a lame attempt to distract Lynda from the boy's presence and shield him from her inevitable wrath.
"Morning," she said with a nevervous half-smile, "So, uh, Shakespeare was it?"

Bailey groaned at the sound of Lynda's alarm. He shifted in his sleep and scooted close to where Jaynee used to be laying. He sighed and opened his eyes, looking over at Jaynee and then her sister. Why were they talking so loud? And what was it about? He rubs his eyes, and stretched, yawning as he did so. Then he looked around innocently, his baby blue eyes shining.

Lynda glared at her sister. "Julius Caesar to be more specific, but cut the innocent crap, Jay." Lynda shifted her eyes to the boy with the blue eyes as he stretched and yawned. "You cut the crap, too. Did you do one of your 'poofs' again and end up in Jaynee's bed once more?" Lynda's brain was working too hard then it should at that hour in time. She knew that he didn't seem to pop into other peoples beds like he did with Jaynee, and there were too many coincidences to let Lynda's logical mind believe it. Maybe his power was connected to his emotions somehow, but he had yet figured out how to control it. Lynda could see a good science experiment for the future, but decided to focus on JC. "I'm going to go head to the library and start working. Ya'll can... talk or whatever you need to do, but Jaynee, can you meet me there in 30 minutes, por favor?" Lynda stood, pajamas and all, and grabbed her laptop before exiting the room. There was only so much of that she could take.

Jaynee's shoulders sagged after Lynda left the room and she turned to face Bailey yawn. She hated it when her twin was upset with her, but she knew that her sister was overly touchy to begin with, and in this case there was really nothing she could do about it. She gave the boy a slightly nervous smile. The last time she'd seen him, he'd kissed her, and she was still confused about whether that was completely accidental or not. Now here he was, and she couldn't bring herself to ask. She only had half an hour, less really. She couldn't afford to waste time, and yet here she was, desperately trying to come up with something, anything, else that she could say.
"Good morning," she finally said lamely. But she bit her lip and made up her mind to not allow herself to stop there. "Listen, about earlier, when we were hiding from Jessica . . . did you, did you mean any of that? Or was it just acting?" Jaynee was a good enough actor herself to know that it was fully possible to share a kiss with someone and feel nothing at all. She doubted Bailey was that good of an actor, but she just needed to be sure.

Bailey shrugged. Suddenly, he could feel his whole face begin to turn red, and he turned his face quickly.
,"No Jaynee. it was just acting. Duhh. Silly girl. I dont even know you, that would be weird if i had actually meant to kiss you, which i totally did not by the way..," he continued to ramble on, slowly feeling the redness in his face go away.
He turned back to face her, but suddenly felt compelled to get out of the bed to make his arguement more believable. He straightened his shirt and flipped his hair a couple of times before looking back down at Jaynee.
,"Dont you have some place to be?," he asked, almost a little to rudely.

"Oh...good," Jaynee forced herself to say as her own face turned red, "Just making sure, cuz, yeah, that would be really weird." She felt her heart sink at his rejection. The hippie girl just watched as he stood up and straightened himself. It was her own fault really. She shouldn't have let herself think that there was anything between them when there clearly wasn't. He was right after all. It was ridiculous to think he could like her. They barely knew each other. She shouldn't have allowed herself to get her hopes up. She stood up and walked past him to the dresser, running a brush through her curly hair before giving him a response.
"I'm not just gonna leave with you here. Despite what you may think, I'm not stupid," she said. The words had more bite that she meant them too, but she wouldn't take it back. That was his cue to get out, and she dearly hoped that he'd take it. Jayne knelt down and dug around under her bed until she found her paperback copy of Julius Caesar, not even watching to see if he left.

Bailey felt himself roll his eyes, even though he did not really want to, he did. He took a deep breath and flip his hair again.
,"okay fine.," he said sarcastically,"i can tell when im not wanted..,". Bailey took another deep breath, and then started to head towards the door. He walked past Jaynee, brushing past her shoulder as he went. Half of Bailey told him to turn around, to take Jaynee by the shoulders, and tell her the truth, to tell her his feelings for her. But the other half was screaming at him. Saying he was only just a stranger to her. And thats all he would ever be. There was no hope in trying. None at all.
So Bailey went with the other half. The half that was telling him to give up. Like he always did. And with that, he slowly started to fade away, leaving only the faint, dying sound of his watch going off.

Once he was gone Jaynee allowed herself to sink back down on her bed with a heavy sigh. She felt like going back to bed, only partly because it was insanely early in the morning, but she had to go help Lynda. Shaking herself, she stood back up and threw on a sweatshirt and a pair of Toms before heading out the door. She tried her best to get her mind off of Bailey before she reached the library, knowing full well that Lynda didn't want to hear about it, but it was a near-impossible task. She glanced at the wall clock outside the library before entering. Just a few minutes until the time she was supposed to meet Lynda. For once Jaynee was on time.
"Hey, sis," she said with fake cheeriness when she took her seat beside her twin. "So, Julius Caesar? Come on girl, that's maybe one of the easiest plays Shakespeare wrote." Her teasing was only half-hearted, but she hoped that Lynda would be too tired and worried aobut her paper to notice.
