Mornings weren't always kind to Sasha. He didn't wake up well and it took him an exceptionally long time to actually get out of bed and on with getting ready for the day. On this particular Saturday, it took him until around noon to get his butt up and dressed, and even then he was hardly awake. Coffee from the dining hall helped a little, but not enough. By the time he got back to the boys dorm, he just decided to crash on one of the couches in the commons area instead of trudging all the way back to his room.
He didn't go back to sleep. No; he knew better than to do that here. Instead, he pulled his knees to his chest and sipped the cup of super-sweet coffee in his hands. Mumbling incoherently about how hot the coffee was, he finally allowed himself to look around, his eyes scanning the other boys in the room.

Logan entered the commons area of the boys' dorm holding a cococola and wearing a sleepy expression with his faded jeans and black t-shirt. He'd woken up not long ago, and he was still sleepy, but he knew that if he stayed in his room he'd never get up. The coke, his substitute for coffee, was helping, but being around other people would wake him up even better. He looked over the boys in the room, smiling when he spotted the unmistakeable blond head that was Sasha. He approached the boy from behind and hopped over the back of the couch to take a seat.
"Morning....sort of," Logan said, smiling.

Sasha looked up, smiling at the other boy. "Good morning, sunshine," he chuckled, taking a sip of his own vice. "Glad I'm not the only non-morning person," he yawned, looking Logan over. "Why do we have to get up on Saturdays, anyways? I mean, it's supposed to be our day off... So what if I want to spend it sleeping? What is there to do today, anyways?"

"There are lots of things to do. We could go into town and have some fun," Logan said, "You know, go shopping at, I dunno the mall, or the pet store maybe." He knew he was doing a terrible job of hinting, but subtlety had never been one of his strong points. He'd been wanting to get Sasha a puppy ever since he'd seen the one the twins had. He had been thinking of making it a surprise, but he couldn't wait any longer. He had nothing better to do today, and it would be best if Sasha was there to pick out the dog himself.

"The pet store, huh?" Sasha grinned at Logan, a spark in his eye. "And what, pray tell, would we be doing there?" Teasingly, he bumped Logan's shoulder with his own. The thought of going to the pet store seemed to wake him up, though, his face lighting up with excitement. Logan's hints hadn't missed Sasha at all. It was kind of cute, to Sasha. And only made him more excited.

"For pets of course," Logan said, nodding. He grinned. Sasha hadn't missed his horribly obvious hints, it seemed. "I was thinking...maybe you'd like a puppy," he added, scratching the back of his head almost nervously. He thought it was a good idea, but he didn't want Sasha to not like it.

"Correction; I'd love a puppy." He chuckled and wrapped his arms around Logan, kissing the boy's cheek. "I can't think of anything I'd rather do," he murmured.

Logan grinned as well, taking his boyfriend's hand and standing up. "Then let's go," he said, heading for the door of the commons area. When they reached the parking lot he pulled out the keys to his car. "I'll drive if you don't mind," he said, unlocking the door of the yellow camaro. He'd lined the back seat with newspaper yesterday, just in case the puppies weren't trained yet.

"That's probably a good idea," Sasha sighed dramatically, letting go of the other boy's hand to move around to the passenger's side of the car. "We all know that I'm not the best driver so early in the... afternoon." Raising his eyebrows, he took a sip of his coffee before climbing into the car. Glancing at the newspapers in the back seat, he raised an eyebrow at Logan. "Someone is prepared for this."

"Well, I've been thinking about this for a little while," he said as he slid into the driver's seat, "And there's no way I'll take a chance of some puppy, however cute, ruining my car." Cars were one of his favorite things, and he was very protective of his. Fixing things was his ability, but pee all over the seat wasn't exactly "broken" just very messed up, so he wasn't sure if he'd be able to fix it or not. Better to just not take the chance. Logan started the car, feeling the familiar thrum of the engine. He pulled out of the student parking lot carefully before turning and heading towards town.

"Sometimes I wonder if you love this car more than you love me," Sasha joked, rolling his eyes at Logan. Unfortunately, as he said it, an image of Lynda happened to pop into his head, making his smile twitch into a frown for the smallest moment. No, he told himself. No. No thinking about her. Not right then, at least. Today was his day with Logan. He couldn't let himself think of Lynda at a time like this.

"Well, it's not like I want a puppy peeing on you either," he replied, grinning, "You're just more difficult to wrap in newspaper." Logan caught Sasha's slight frown but decided not to say anything about it. He was sure his boyfriend had been joking with the car comment, so he had no idea where the frown came from. Maybe it was nothing. Maybe it was something. Either way Logan knew better than to ask. When the came to the pet store he parked in the closest space he could find and shut off the car. "Ready?" he asked.

"Yeah, you would know," Sasha waggled his eyebrows, pretending nothing was wrong. Because, he decided, there wasn't anything wrong. He was here with his boyfriend about to pick out a puppy, dammit! And they'd finaly made it to the store. "Totally," he grinned, near ready to bounce out of his seat. He almost forgot to take his seatbelt off, getting up, but remembered it at the last second. Kissing Logan's cheek one more time, Sasha managed to get out of the car (safely).

Logan chuckled as he watched Sasha struggle to get out of the car. He was glad he'd decided to do this. Sasha was so excited. He got out of the car with much more ease than his boyfriend and locked the doors with a push of the button. He walked to the door and held it open. "After you, darling," he said.

"Such a gentleman," Sasha bit his lip to keep from laughing and stepped into the pet shop, his eyes zeroing in on the area that they kept the dogs avaidable for adoption. "Look at them all," he murmured to Logan, his eyes wide. "I wouldn't even know how to choose..."
