Danny woke up abruptly at the sound of thunder rolling through the air. He had fallen asleep under a tree while trying to write a history paper. When he first started his nap, it was only lightly raining, and the tree blocked it from hitting him. When he woke up, however, it wasn't raining cats and dogs. No, it was raining cows and hippos. Clearly, it was pretty nasty outside, and with the wind blowing in every direction, he had been soaked. He folded his ruined history paper - good thing he had only gotten two sentences in - and put it in his pocket before making a break for the closest building. The girls dorm.
On his mad break for the door, he saw a familiar face. "Venus?" he yelled over the storm, stepping closer. Why was she out here? Realization that she couldn't see her way back to her room, which actually wasn't that far away, hit him and he knew he had to help her. If he didn't, he'd feel guilty about it for the rest of his life. Taking hold of her hand, he started to pull her to the building. "Let's get you out of this storm."

The sound of a voice caught Venus' attention amid the crashing rain. A... familiar voice. She couldn't tell who it was at first, though. When he started pulling her hand and spoke again, she finally realized who it was. "D-Danny?" She stammered, stumbling after him. "What- how- You don't have to-" She tried to say, but failed, becoming quiet when she felt that rain was no longer coming down on her. They must have gotten inside... "Um... thanks..." She frowned, realizing how pathetic she must seem.

"No problem," Danny replied, grinning. "We're in the girl's dormitory. I can take you to your room." Realizing that what he could be said could be taken the wrong way. "If you need any help or anything, that is." He dropped her hand after noticing he was still holding it and instead ran it through his wet and messed up hair.

Irritated with herself for needing him to lead her even this far, Venus turned away and snapped at him, "I don't need help," without thinking. A moment later, though, she froze. She may be proud as hell, but that didn't mean she wanted to be a bitch. He was only trying to be nice -- something she didn't witness much of, especially in the tunnels. "But... you shouldn't go back out there till the storm clears... Or you'll get sick. And it might be boring to wait down here... So, if you want to, I mean... you can come on up." She bit her lip, blushing. Part of her really hoped he said no so the embarrassment of this moment could be over. The other part... kind of wanted him to come. If not only as a way to thank him for getting her out of the rain.

The anger and sorrow he had felt for being snapped at cleared when she invited him to come to her room with her. After a moment or two of hesitation, he shrugged. She seemed like a nice person, and he really didn't want to go back out in the rain. "Sure, why not?" He then followed her.

Nodding, Venus turned to lead the way toward her dorm room, her hand gliding along the wall. Luckily, her room wasn't too far away; just on the first floor and down the hall a bit. "Sorry if it's a mess," She told him over her shoulder as she felt the knob and unlocked the door. It wasn't actually all that messy, though. Just... bare. She didn't have much need to decorate, and the floor was kept clear enough that she was in no danger of tripping.

"It's actually pretty clean," Danny told her. He felt sad in the room, however. It almost felt like it had no personality, but since she wouldn't be able to see it, personality didn't really matter. He walked over to the window and leaned again the wall beside it. The rain had calmed down from cows and hippos to just cats and dogs, but it was still pretty bad. "Thank you so much for letting me come in so I didn't have to face that storm out there."

"It's nothing," she shrugged. Now that she was in her own room and could hear her own footsteps well enough, she had no problem walking around unaided. Which, she knew, felt much better than having to be led around. "It's not like I could just let you go back out there. Right?" She smiled and crossed the room to her bathroom, a moment later, she came back out with some towels. "Here; dry up a little." She somehow tossed one of them right at him. Being in a familiar place truly did wonders for her general aim.

"Thanks," he muttered, drying himself for the most part with the towel. He wasn't sure if the thanks was for the towel or for letting him stay in her room until the storm calmed down, or for both. Yes, probably both. It was quiet, except for the sound of rain in the background, and occasionally thunder. "How did you become blind?" he blurted, then slapped his hand over his mouth as he turned the color of a tomato. "I-You don't have to answer that if you don't want to, of course."

"It's fine," Venus chuckled, drying her own hair. "Not that great a story, though. I was born blind. As far as anyone can tell, it's my insignia's fault." She shrugged, holding out her wrist for him to see. She only knew which wrist it was because occasionally when she would be plotting it would tingle or get warm. " Buraindo Joukei Sensou. It means Blind Sighted War, or something like that. Basically, it made me blind, but it made it so I can see in ways others can't. Like... with strategies or whatever. You know?"

"Strategies, eh?" Danny mumbled, a smile slowly creeping upon his face. "That's be good for like planning pranks and revenge and stuff, I bet," he said nonchalantly. How he loved the sweet taste of revenge. "That's really cool. A lot move fun then being able to turn invisible, I'd think."

"I get a kick out of it," Venus grinned. "It's always nice to have a good plan, you know?" Setting the towel aside, she moved to sit on the bed, leaning back comfortably. "So, invisible, huh? How's that work out for ya'?"

Danny shrugged out of habit. "Good I guess. I'm great at sneaking up on people." Danny liked his power, but even if he wasn't always invisible, there was times that made him feel like no one saw him no matter what. He always felt so misunderstood. Or maybe that was just the emo in him talking.

"That must be nice," she laughed. "I'm sorry to tell you, though, but it's really hard to sneak up on me. Invisible or not." The grin on Venus' face intensified as she sat up and leaned forward. "But I'll tell you what. If you can manage to sneak up on me ever at all, I'll give you ten bucks. Deal?"

Danny smirked as an idea came into his head. Maybe he was just being bold today, or maybe he had a very mild case of "The Dori," whatever that was. "How about, instead of ten bucks, you hace to give me a kiss."
