"-and the new recruits are being assessed." A boy with a clip board finished speaking quickly as he struggled to keep up with a black haired girl that seemed to have little interest.
"Are you done, now?" She didn't even look at him as she continued down the dark halls of the tunnel, a couple good sized paces in front of the frightened looking boy. He squeaked out a confirmation and she waved him away, bidding he leave her alone. She wasn't in the mood for all that, right then. She had her own matters to deal with, and they didn't involve one of the more useless members of her little operation. She needed to see her brother -- which, incidentally, meant she had to find him. And seeing as cell phones didn't get the best reception under ground... it was a challenge.
She'd checked the usual spots above ground, already, and tried calling him. When neither turned up positive results, she headed down into the tunnels, checking all the major planning and strategy rooms first before searching some of their personal rooms.
"Wraith, where the hell are you...?" She hissed under her breath, her sharp steely nails digging into the palms of her hands. Obviously, she wasn't happy -- but that wasn't a surprise. She was rarely happy, these days. It as just a part of being her, she figured.

August Third, log. The scribbling of a neatly sharpened pencil on paper irked at the silent hallways as Tokage made his way through them, light gradually revealing itself the farther up he went. Prisoner Reikon Hatsu is as catonic as ever- he still refuses to speak or comply with any and all demands made to him. He must be broken. His sustenance will be greatly cut back- just enough from day to day to keep him breathing. My...persuasion will be more harsh from now on. I'm wasting time trying to work with him. He must either learn to work with me or be forced to work with me. Either way, I win. Just how I like it.
Now footsteps other than his own reached the lizard man's ears, Wraith's sharp and dark eyes flitting up from the paper to take in the new disturbance. His sister. Hebi. The co-Hive founder gave an annoyed grumble and ran a hand through his messy, stringy black locks. He still hadn't gotten over the last time she had beaten him in chess. She cheated. She must have cheated. Wraith Yaiba does NOT lose.
He gave a soft grunt and put the pencil away, picking up his pace to match his sisters. Once Caught up, he grabbed her shoulder and halted her. "What do you want?" His hissy tone whispered, eyes narrowed.

As soon as she was turned to face her brother, Hebi's face twisted in a scowl, anger flaring in her eyes. "Did you approve those idiots in the fifth rank class to be moved up?" She hissed back. It wouldn't be the first time something like this had happened. She'd been trying for months to get the ranks under order and, by now, she'd almost been done straightening them out. Until this happened, that is.
The fifth rank class was one of the worst trained, thus far. They were still fairly new and were hardly even allowed in the tunnels. According to her updates, however, they'd been promoted just enough to sit in on some of the more serious meetings. Which, all too obviously to Hebi, could not be allowed.

Wraith blinked and moved past his sister, motioning for her to follow. "Yes." He replied, voice monotone as he scribbled more notes onto his paper, "They were taking too long to be trained. I decided by throwing them into the more advanced things they would learn to swim, drown horribly or be consumed by sharks. Perhaps both of the latters. Not my problem. You rise or you fall and you will never truly know the extent of your capabilities until you are thrown in front of them. If they don't make it in the fast lane- we're better off without them."

Hebi glared at him as he spoke, even though what he said did make a little bit of sense. Not that she would admit it. Even if though he was her brother, she wasn't about to admit that he could be more right about something like this than she was. No. Admitting she was wrong would be a weakness. A weakness she couldn't allow.
"Fine," she grudgingly allowed. "But you can't just go behind my back like that. Discuss it with me first. I mean, did you even consult Venus -- or anyone?"

Wraith scoffed. "When did this suddenly become a Democracy?" He grumbled, sidling the wall as a he passed a few boxes that took up half the hallway. "Besides, you know you fight me on anything and everything I try to put into action. It's just how it works- right? And Venus isn't my boss- she isn't even on my level. Why on earth would I go to her first?"

"Because we put her in charge of the fucking recruits," Hebi shot back, skirting the boxes closely behind her brother. "And you can't just go around not telling me things. Do you want someone to thing they can get something past us because YOU never tell me what's going on? You keep pulling this shit and it'll bite both of us in the ass."

"Ye of little faith." Wraith replied curtly, continuing to write, "I think I know what I'm doing. If I don't tell you things, what makes you think I'd tell anyone else those things for them to use them against us? Unless it's something I can't handle on my own- and such things are quite scarce- I don't see why I would need to report to you about everything."

"That would be great and all if you weren't messing with MY projects!" She snarled, glaring up at her brother. "In case you didn't notice, plenty of people can realize that I wasn't informed of something like that. Like, when I find out and nearly rip someone's head off." She sighed and looked away. "And as therapeutic that might be to do, I don't think it would be good for that to happen every fucking time you have an idea."

"We'll see." Wraith replied simply, now dipping into his new found and favored talent of tuning his sister out completely as he delved back into the world of his pen and paper, black words scrawled on white textured surface. Much more calming than the temperamental snake girl's ranting and raving.

Still simmering, Hebi glared at her brother before rolling her eyes and checking her watch. With a groan she turned back to her brother. "Come on, we have a meeting with Venus," She muttered, pushing past him toward the 'War Room'.

Wraith mummbled something inaudible under his breath before reluctantly following his sister to the 'War Room". ....He didn't pick the name. He wasn't much of a name creating person. Besides...the simple title of 'War Room' hit him as a tad cliche. But he didn't feel like Hebi bitching at him about it, so he let it alone.
